At Riley Hospital’s Labor and Delivery unit, we are proud to be a leader in innovative fetal surgeries, while also managing a wide range of non-obstetric cases. With an on-site Sterile Processing Department (SPD), we have quick and efficient access to the supplies and equipment needed for optimal performance. Notably, we are one of the few facilities that does not require surgical technologists to take mandatory on-call shifts. Above all, we work alongside a dedicated group of providers who foster a collaborative, positive, and rewarding work environment.
This position is a night shift role working 7:00pm-7:30am, self-schedule. No mandatory call, Holiday requirement (rotation)
CSTs provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assists in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. Provides assistance to the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assists in the turnover of the operating room after the procedure ensuring proper routing and/or processing of all specimens, equipment, instrumentation and supplies. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.
