Optimizing our enrollment mix is crucial to the long-term viability of IU Indianapolis. There are several factors that influence a student's college choice, persistence, graduation and success. The Division of Enrollment Management is comprised of over 100 full-time staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, Office for Veterans and Military personnel, as well as other areas supporting student enrollment. The Division also oversees and provides insight for its enrollment operations for the Fort Wayne and Columbus campuses.

This role will serve as the primary recruiter for the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, developing and executing targeted recruitment strategies to attract undergraduate students. While this role will also engage with the broader Science and Technology Pathway, its top priority is driving enrollment growth for Luddy programs through close collaboration with faculty, staff, and leadership.

This role will serve as the primary recruiter for the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, developing and executing targeted recruitment strategies to attract undergraduate students. Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of university admissions policies, financial aid options, and academic offerings.
- Develop and execute recruitment plans for the Science and Technology Pathway, focusing primarily on Luddy School programs.
- Engage in on-campus, virtual, and off-site recruitment events.
- Work with Campus Visits and Events to coordinate and execute individual and group visits for prospective students, delivering presentations with confidence in public speaking.
- Collaborate with Luddy faculty, staff and student ambassadors to design specialized recruitment and yield activities.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions while working closely with Luddy School leadership to develop and refine specialized recruitment initiatives.
- Attend Luddy School faculty and staff meetings as needed to provide updates and gather insights to enhance recruitment strategies.
- Utilize CRM (Slate) for marketing, enrollment tracking, and reporting.
- Track and analyze recruitment data for future planning.
- Maintain, implement and oversee a holistic recruitment yield tactical plan for recruitment.
- Develop, implement, and administer plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals.
- Integrate a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors.
- Identify and develop partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers.
- Interpret academic policies and exercise authority and independent judgment.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and processes and determine the effectiveness of markets and strategies.
- Exercise independent judgment and use census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations.
- Serve in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets of opportunity to attract and enroll under-represented populations. Participate in the assessment and evaluation of various models.
- May attend meetings or serve on committees with the admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings, customer service lead meetings, and undergraduate recruitment council meetings; may provide guidance to other admissions counselors.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2 years in admissions, higher education, marketing, or a related field
- Event coordinator or customer service experience
- Experience working with CRM systems such as Slate
