The Department of Pediatrics employs nearly 1,000 faculty and staff who work alongside employees of Riley Hospital for Children and students of IU School of Medicine (IUSM) to make Riley Children's Health Indiana's largest and most skilled pediatric system. The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Contracts and Grants Specialist to join their team. This position will serve as the grant specialist for the division including the creation of project budgets and coordinating the submission of grants, progress reports and other sponsored research activity with a particular emphasis on clinical research trial study accounts for pre and post-award account management.

General Responsibilities
- Provides financial monitoring and analysis of contracts and grants to ensure expenses are being paid according to contract.
- Consults on and completes pre-award applications and participates in contract closeouts.
- Performs post-award accounting of grants.
- Interprets regulations and guidelines of program funding for standard grants and prepares reports for grant agencies.
- Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations.
- Prepares bids or proposals; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.
- Ensures compliance with sponsor terms, university policy/procedures and federal regulations.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or equivalent)
