The Judson Mead Geological Field Station (IUGFS) is a unique Indiana University facility located in Montana and operated by the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) for one of the nation's top ranked field geology programs. The facility includes a state-of-the-art classroom building, faculty housing units, kitchen and cafeteria facilities, student dorm rooms, accessory buildings, and a resident manager house. - Field-based geoscience research, both for new knowledge about the geology of SW Montana and better ways to teach geosciences in the field
- Development of best practices in field geosciences

- Performs general cleaning and maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining hall
- Ensures that each staff member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service
- Maintains the highest level of sanitation in the kitchen
- Performs duties the head cook deems necessary
- Assists with food prep
- Assists with cooking
- Assists with serving food
- Assists with kitchen and dining hall clean-up
- Sets table at breakfast and dinner
- Helps prepare and set up lunch for visitors to self-pack
- Assists with food service
- Assists with consolidation and proper food storage after meals
- Cleans up after meals and ongoing cleaning to maintain the highest level of sanitation in the kitchen
- Washes dishes and returns clean dishes to clean storage
- Prepares beverages
- Assists with grilling for cookout on weekends
- Sweeps and mops floors at end of day
- Provides meals for visitors and staff during summer camp programs
- Provides assistance to the Head Cook in preparing meals for special diets
- Prepares food and cleaning/organizing kitchen and appliances
Required
- General knowledge at the high school level
