Indiana University of Pennsylvania Department of Finance and Economics (FIEC) in the Eberly College of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Finance beginning August 2025. Founded in 1875, IUP is a student-centered learning community located approximately 55 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. The Eberly College of Business, fully accredited by AACSB International, values and supports a blend of excellent teaching and scholarly productivity. Duties: Effective teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels (MBA & Ph.D.—Business).Candidates must meet the Eberly College of Business criteria to qualify as a Scholarly Academic based on AACSB accreditation standards.Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential, as their career progresses, to provide service to the department, college, university, and community.Advising and mentoring students; assisting students with research or other relevant projects including serving on doctoral student committees.The successful candidate may be assigned to perform work at off-campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Required: Doctorate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in finance or a closely related field (e.g., economics or international finance) earned by August 2025.Interest in teaching finance classes in both undergraduate and graduate programs.Demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness.Demonstrated potential for research consistent with the mission of the college.The department seeks candidates whose teaching, research, and/or service has prepared them to contribute to IUP’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.Candidates must communicate effectively and perform well during interview(s), including a teaching demonstration.
