Essential Functions- Responsible for originating residential loan products with a focus in Marion County to meet annual production goals. Provides client direction and assistance throughout the mortgage origination process.
- Develops new and expands current relationships with local referral networks including lending partners, real estate agents and community/neighborhood partners within Marion County* to promote INHP products and services, increase business opportunities, achieve annual goals.
- Delivers presentations and marketing collateral to prospective clients, partners, and referral sources to promote the organization’s programs and services.
- Provides exceptional customer service by setting proper expectations, maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, and being accessible and responsive to client and partner inquiries.
- Understands and articulates features and benefits of INHP loan programs along with detailed knowledge of external lending partners loan programs to clients and families.
- Ability to analyze credit reports, income and asset documentation to make a creditworthiness decision and provide financial alternatives to clients.
- Leads client interviews and application meetings with prospective borrowers to fully execute the loan application and related documents using consultative techniques to advise clients on their mortgage loan options and other INHP services.
- Provides timely communication to the client throughout the loan process regarding the status of their loan request.
- Works with Lending Operations team to track and actively move loan applicants through the loan process to closing.
- Submits a complete and thorough file to the lending operations department in a timely manner.
- Collaborates and builds strong relationships with all internal departments to ensure a high level of customer service, proper messaging and ultimately the success of INHP’s goals and strategies.
- Answers incoming calls and e-mails timely and professionally.
- Accurately records and maintains client records across all INHP systems.
- Stays in compliance with all Federal, State and local regulatory policies and requirements.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in mortgage sales and loan origination.
- Registered with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
- Licensed with the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions as a Mortgage Loan Originator or able to achieve licensure within 60 days of employment if currently registered with NMLS as an MLO working for a banking institution.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all Regulatory and Compliance guidelines that govern residential lending.
- Verifiable history of closed loan production (i.e., purchase and refinance business).
- Ability to analyze and understand multiple lending products and services both internally and externally.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish desired.
This is primarily an in-office position with some external sales responsibilities.
