Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or High School Student 18 or over
- Experience working with preschool children preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable)
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
- Ability to lift and carry young children
- Stamina to stay engaged with active children throughout the day
- Patience and adaptability to handle varying situations
- Good communication skills for interacting with both children and staff
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Supervise and engage children during playtime and learning activities
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Assist with mealtime and ensure children's nutritional needs are met
- Attend to children's toileting needs
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
- Follow all safety and health protocols
- Provide support to children's emotional and behavioral needs
- Assist with administrative tasks and record-keeping as needed
