Assistant Teacher/Floater

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves engaging with students, assisting in lesson planning, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The Assistant Teacher will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of curriculum tailored to early childhood education.

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging environment.
• Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Facilitate learning through play, encouraging exploration and creativity among students.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to lead teachers as necessary.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources for daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and classroom events.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum development for preschool or daycare settings.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior among students.
• Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
