- Maintain confidentiality about issues regarding children and families of GSDC or LHC. Do not participate in gossip.
- Model professional work ethic by reporting to work on time and maintaining consistent attendance and arranging and communicating leave requests in advance.
- Establish positive, respectful, and professional relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and the childcare community.
- Show respect for individual differences; including learning styles, cultural differences, point of views, and individual preferences. Avoid stereotyping and labeling.
- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to innovative ideas in childcare practices.
- Demonstrate flexibility with work schedules and assignments as needed to meet the needs of the center.

- Following all state requirements for health and safety. *
- Always supervise all children. *
- Assist lead teacher in any other areas. *
- Communicating with parents of GSDC. *
- Follow state regulations on writing incidents and accidents reports and reporting abuse. *
- Ability to adapt to software applications for parent-teacher communication.
- Be accessible and available to parents every day and respond promptly with respect, sensitivity, interest, and cooperation to their concerns. *
- Keep director and assistant director informed of parental concerns or issues. *
- Establish and sustain a sense of community through parent involvement. *
- Model positive attitudes and professional interactions with parents. *
- Serve as a resource for families, offering articles, and community contacts.
- Maintaining proper teacher/ student ratios. *
- Following all state requirements for health and safety. *
- Always supervise all children. *
- Follow state regulations on writing incidents and accidents reports and reporting abuse. *
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and follow GSDC's Emergency Care Plan in event of an emergency. *
- Demonstrate good judgment and always act responsibly and attentively to avoid any injury or endangerment to anyone in the center.
- Follow State, Federal, PTQ, and GSDC guidelines. *
- Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. *
- Maintain physical and mental alertness and appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements. *
