Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to supervise students and maintain discipline in a professional manner
• Knowledge of basic operations of equipment needed to maintain and clean building
• Good judgment when decisions are needed
• Alertness to be aware of the safety of students and staff
• Ability to be precise in given tasks
• Must possess strong leadership and communication skills
  
  

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises, including both interior and exterior, clean at all times
• Sweeps, mops, wet-washes and vacuums floors in assigned areas
• Dusts furniture and cleans and polishes fixtures
• Scrubs and disinfects restroom floors as assigned
• Assists in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
• Assists with keeping all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation
• If assigned, assumes the responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for the determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured and all lights are turned off, except those left on for safety reasons
• Moves furniture or equipment as required for various activities
• Assists at extra-curricular activities when needed
