Scope
Position of Immediate Manager/Supervisor: Director of Buildings and Grounds
- High School diploma or equivalent require
- Capable of moving heavy furniture, working off of step-ladders, and operating custodial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, polishers and mops
- Experience in cleaning and housekeeping tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Holds a valid driver's license and has reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities
- Performs housekeeping duties as assigned, including but not limited to: vacuum, sweep and mop floors, dust and clean furniture, empty waste baskets, clean dry-erase and/or chalk boards, wash windows, clean and disinfect restrooms, and other tasks as assigned.
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, buffers and carpel extractors.
- Maintains a clean and organized custodial supplies closet and custodial cart, requesting supplies in advance of running out
- Follows verbal and w1itten instructions from Supervisor.
- Follows written label instructions for the proper measuring, mixing and the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Opens and secures assigned areas
- Reports building or equipment repair needs to Supervisor.
- Plans own work to assure that all assigned tasks are completed at an acceptable level of quality within the allotted time.
