Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety
- Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress
- Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents
- Maintain program site and equipment
- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, and staff meetings
- Adhere to state guidelines and childcare regulations
- CDA, Associates, or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center (1-2 years preferred)
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and educational practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Dependability, adaptability, and teamwork skills
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. for child safety and potential emergency situations
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multitasking
