High School Special Education Assistant - Waldron Junior-Senior High School

Waldron Junior-Senior High School is seeking a high school special education assistant for the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Description

• Work alongside special education teacher to meet the individual learning needs of all students.
• Assist students in grades 10-12 in the resource room and general education classroom.
• Emphasis on English/Language Arts and math skills.
• Other duties assigned by principal/designee.
  
  

Job Requirements

• High school diploma required, associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Applicants with no college degree must have passed the para-professional exam or be willing to take the para-professional exam.
• Must pass a background check through Shelby Eastern Schools.
• Emphasis on teamwork, a positive attitude, and a desire to build relationships with students, parents, community members, and fellow staff members.
  
  

Salary: Starting at $14.50/hr.
