Teaching Certificate Required Exceptional Needs: Mild Interventions
Previous Teaching Experience Required: Experience with multiple disabilities preferred, but not required.
General Description of Position Duties: Will work with students with specific learning disabilities, mild/moderate/severe cognitive disabilities, autism, and other health impairments while serving as their Teacher of Record (TOR). Will work with students in a life-skills classroom. May also teach self- contained special needs (certificate track) class(es) and/or Inclusion class(es).
Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desire: Ability to work with high school students and parents, to work with a department and team, organized and skilled at writing IEP's. Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

- Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices.
- Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another.
- Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
