Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience, preferably within building grade band
- A current Indiana teaching license
- Proven results of improving student growth in all demographic subgroups to close the achievement gap
- Strong knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and data-based instructional decision making
- Strong knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports
- Strong knowledge of social emotional learning and diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Strong knowledge of academic and behavior intervention strategies to support high quality instruction for all students
- Strong knowledge in curriculum development
- Strong knowledge of analyzing data
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create positive relationships
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills, self-directed, and self-motivated
- Strong asset-based mindset and demonstrates a keen ability to recognize the strengths present in students
- Willingness to attend additional training related to the position
- Ability to plan, organize, and work collaboratively with other teams
- Implements the mission, goals, and teaching and learning vision of the district and school
- Develops, leads, and monitors school-based integration of MTSS
- Supports implementation of intervention supports and plans
- Coordinates and facilitates ongoing MTSS professional development, training, and coaching for staff
- Attends and collaborates in building-based professional learning communities
- Manages, analyzes, and utilizes student data to support teachers in identifying additional support and/or improve tiered instruction supports
- Models data-based decision making through the use of screening, progress monitoring and other forms of data
- Assists in the selection of curriculum materials and monitors and supports tier 1 instruction
- Supports universal screening and progress monitoring
- Monitors and supports implementation of interventions
- Monitors process of MTSS and PLC to ensure compliance and adherence to district and building expectations
- Assists PLC teams to evaluate assessments, interventions & supports that have been implemented as intended and identify areas of improvement
- Works collaboratively with district and building administration, families, and community members
- Serves on school committees and teams as requested
- Creates a working environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Completes tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by building and district administration
