What You Will Do
As a Teacher's Assistant (TA) with Promise Prep, you will work with individual and/or small groups of scholars under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will do this by following educational and behavioral plans and modeling appropriate behaviors and interactions with students and staff. During non-classroom times, you may function in other support capacities (substituting, hallway monitoring, lunch duty, etc.) and then implement academic curriculum during designated blocks of time.

What You Will Do

- 1 years' experience working with children in an educational setting
- Associate degree in Education or 60 semester hours of college strongly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Analytical ability to plan individual and group activities that stimulate growth in scholars
- Prior experience with small group instruction preferred
- Interpersonal skills are necessary to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents/guardians, and other staff
- An aspiring educator
- Great with building relationships among scholars, staff, and families
- Able to provide academics and behavioral support while modeling PP shared values
