Position: Videography/Photography Intern
Reports to: MCCSC Director of Strategic Communications, Sarah DeWeese
Hours/week: 6-10
Working format: Hybrid. Occasional travel required during standard business hours for photo/video shoots. Virtual for video/photo editing.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
Description: The videography/photography intern in the office of MCCSC Strategic Communications will be assigned videography/photography assignments by the MCCSC director of strategic communications. The intern will capture video and photo at all MCCSC schools to be used by the communications team, and will also use Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut to edit video clips. The intern will work collaboratively with other members of the communications team.
At the successful completion of the internship, the intern will have a portfolio of photo and video assets and a professional reference. Mentorship on careers in the creative field will also be provided.

Responsibilities
- Travel to MCCSC schools to capture video and photography on assignments from the MCCSC director of strategic communications.
- Complete pre-video/photo checklist, which includes coordinating details with MCCSC director of strategic communications, coordinating with MCCSC staff or teachers at schools to arrange arrival times
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software to edit and create short, ready-to-use video clips to be used in social media reels or video projects
- Maintain an organized library of video assets
- Conduct professional communication when engaging with MCCSC staff, writing emails and all correspondence in a professional format
- Maintain frequent communication with director of strategic communications, responding promptly to emails, and consistently meet deadlines
- Videography and photography, with preference to video
- Video editing experience via Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
- 5-8 samples of video and photography work
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to assignments
- Must have access to own video/photo equipment
- Must be enrolled in an educational program in a related field of study.
- Resume, including relevant coursework
