Ideal candidates are committed to advancing the Zoo's mission to protect nature and inspire people to care for our world. Though this position is not responsible for animal care, our Parking Lot Attendants are vital to the Zoo's operations. By providing over and beyond customer service, each team member impacts our guest's overall experience. A cooperative and friendly personality, along with a helpful and courteous attitude is highly desirable. Though this is an entry level position, experience working in customer service is a plus! A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Pay rate for this exciting position is $13.00/ hr.

Working Requirements and Conditions include (but are not limited to):
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Communicates effectively by speaking in a slow and accurate manner.
- Answers guests' questions in a clear and precise tone.
- Guides and directs guests in a detailed and pleasant demeanor. Must be comfortable working with the public, display use of manners at all times.
- Welcomes and advises guests on bus shuttle arrival times.
- Encourages guests to wait for shuttles to provide transportation to the Zoo.
- Acts as a guide by providing the safest path and instructions for guests, if they insist on walking to the Zoo.
- Works closely with Security staff to provide a safe environment for all guests.
- This position will not operate any Zoo vehicles.
- Must have flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings and overtime as needed. Different shift work may be required.
- Flexibility is needed due to changes in the crowd size and/ or weather, this may include being asked to work beyond scheduled hours or working reduced hours. There is no guarantee of hours to the unpredictability of weather and crowd size.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, which include inclement weather, cold and hot temperatures, and humidity.
