Field Applications Scientist
Classification: FLSA Exempt
Reports To: Manager, Life Science Applications
Summary
Hybrid sales and technical position which provides Applications Support and some Sales Support in digital pathology and image analysis for Indica Labs, Inc’s HALO, HALO Link, and HALO AI platforms in a commercial, educational, or research environment.
Duties and responsibilities
· Works with customers to determine which software best meets the customer’s needs
· Demonstrates software capabilities through remote conferencing or on-site visits
· Manages software trials and proof-of-concept studies
· Supports commercial efforts by participating in seminars and tradeshows or giving technical presentations or posters as required
· Trains customers using remote conferencing or on-site visits
· Provides ongoing technical and scientific support to existing customers
· Supports workload of Field Application Scientist team
· Qualifies new leads, issues quotes, and reports back on quotations and outcomes
· Regularly updates Customer Relation Management (CRM) database
· Assists in the preparations of sales statistics and reports
· Performs ongoing account management duties for assigned accounts
· Responsible for the appropriate accessing and handling of electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined by policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) in Biology or related biomedical science
· Authorization to work in the United States, or appropriate authorization to work in the applicant’s current home country (Indica Labs, Inc. does not sponsor work visas)
· Valid Passport for international travel
· As a Federal Contractor, candidates should expect a requirement for full vaccination against COVID-19
Preferred Qualifications
· One year of direct laboratory experience (college or industry)
· Basic understanding of laboratory workflow
· Experience with pathology, digital pathology, histology, microscopy, and image analysis
· Previous application experience

Location
This is a remote position, located in the employee’s home state. Candidates currently residing in the Eastern United States or Eastern Provinces of Canada will be will be given preference for this position.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
· Up to 50% global travel on short notice.
· Some physical effort required (lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, twisting, carrying objects)
