Purpose : We have an immediate opening for a Pre-Sales Project Engineer. The individual will be responsible for the quotation, design and creation of new electrical industrial control and power distribution low voltage panels – prototypes and engineering support for production.

Essential Job Functions
- Assess and solve issues that arise with production / supplier / customer.
- Sort & File new customer request for quote (RFQ) packages with included bill of materials (BoM).
- Part number and BoM set up in our ERP system, including cross-referencing customer’s part numbers with manufacturer’s part numbers and internal part numbers.
- Communicate design issues with customer via customer interface portal, email, and phone calls.
- Keep track of multiple projects and follow ups with suppliers / customer.
- Set up project packages with all related parts to send out to suppliers for quotation.
- Identify and submit revision changes on internal documents via ECN process.
- Creation of assembly prints via SolidWorks may be needed to assist engineering.
- Evaluating designs for compliance with applicable codes & standards, UL508A, IPC-A-620 and NFPA70
- A broad understanding of general hands-on building will be needed when problem solving.
- May involve some travel, both domestic and international
