Summary
The Tax Manager is a key member of Indicor’s Tax Department and will report directly to the Senior Manager. This role will play a critical part in supporting tax compliance, reporting, and strategic initiatives while interacting with various stakeholders within the company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses strong analytical and technical tax skills. The role requires the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Planning, M&A, and Transformation:
- Assist with special projects, including consultation, advice, and support on significant transactions, tax positions, Company-wide initiatives, and due diligence.
- Support tax technology efforts for Indicor and business units (BUs), including management of ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) and US income tax compliance software.
- Collaborate with tax leadership to implement new tax policies, strategies, and procedures supporting tax and cross-functional initiatives.
Tax Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare Federal and State US Income Tax Compliance and related workpapers.
- Prepare US income tax provision.
- Assist the Senior Manager in developing and implementing integrated, efficient tax reporting policies and practices.
- Coordinate data collection with third-party providers assisting with US state income tax, US partnership tax, and non-US international tax reporting.
- Support governance and policy processes for tasks performed by BU leaders (e.g., US property tax, sales/use tax, and non-US indirect tax).
- Ensure record retention policies and procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to by the Tax Department and other functions.
- Provide technical advice to superiors and project team members in specific areas.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leaders on various topics, including key reports.
- Support SOX tax control compliance.
- Monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance developments and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
- Provide business unit oversight of US indirect tax obligations.
Tax Audits:
- Compile information to support the company’s response to federal and state income tax examinations, including managing audits and preparing federal tax protests.
- Analyze risks and the sustainability of various tax positions in filings and financial statements.
- Support business units with tax controversy matters for both direct and indirect taxes.
Transfer Pricing:
- Support transfer pricing strategies and monitor transfer pricing policies and documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of combined public accounting and/or corporate income tax accounting and compliance experience.
- Strong foundation and technical understanding of income tax accounting and compliance.
- Proficient research skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
- Experience with tax accounting and compliance software (preferred).
- Familiarity with data analysis and ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, MS Power Suite) and SharePoint (preferred but not required).
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
