The Role
The Marketing Strategy Consultant serves as a trusted marketing advisor to their business leaders and key client stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for developing best-in-class strategic marketing plans across paid, owned and earned communication channels. From campaign strategy to digital strategy, to search, reporting & team set-up, the Marketing Strategy Consultant sees campaigns through to execution and optimization. You will bring together data, creative and emotional skills, business insights, and industry best practices to develop innovative marketing strategies. The Marketing Strategy Consultant will also ensure that their client's marketing organization becomes more effective and efficient by ensuring team members stay on track towards meeting goals for key initiatives and adhering to project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Marketing Strategy Team, vendors, partners and stakeholders to develop strategic marketing plans and associated campaigns in support of client's business priorities. This includes, but is not limited to :
- Advisement on channel, platform, and investment opportunities.
- Understanding and determining key communication priorities based on campaign objectives and strategic audiences.
- Recommending best avenues for communication (content types) and distribution (marketing mix).
- Determining best in class data strategy and measurement approach to define target audiences and understand the impact of marketing against said audiences.
- Collaborate with the client's marketing team and resources to improve campaign activities and tactical management including :
Support the development of strategic briefs as well as leadership approval and team buy-in process.
Guide the management of the overall portfolio of campaigns and activities, plan and manage budgets to ensure proper prioritization and utilization of resources and investment.Define metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success, activity and channel levels to inform future tactics.Compile, analyze and present strategy and impact reports with stakeholders.Communicate strategic priorities and plans clearly to client teams via PPT, excel, and conversation, both virtually and in-person (as needed).Responsible for identifying and managing priorities and working through challenges to move digital initiatives and process improvement forward, while supporting the client's vision and objectivesWork closely with the client to establish an environment where the cross functional teams can be as effective as possible, addressing team dynamics, and ensuring a good relationship between team membersEscalate issues / risks associated with project pipeline and capacity, as needed.Establish and facilitate ways of working with key tools (including but not limited to : reporting, planning, project management)Requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Qualificatons
5 years experience in Marketing Strategy / Digital MarketingUndergraduate degree required, with a focus in Marketing, Communications or a related business field preferredDeep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable resultsProficiency in best practices across Search, Social, E-commerce, CRM, Website, Creative, Digital Media, Audiences, Data StrategyCritical thinking and self-motivated : Comfort with ambiguity, resourceful, and able to think about the big picture and apply critical thinking to bring ideas to stakeholdersAble to think big and design campaign strategy as well as see it through executionUnderstanding of marketing technology and ways to connect it to client needsExcellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skillsOrganized and ever aware of project statusesHigh level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex prioritiesAbility to make connections in highly matrixed environment, with eye on collaboration and integrationAbility to build relationship and collaborate in a virtual environmentConfident executive presence and communication; adept at managing upStrong persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warrantedWorking knowledge of G-Suite, specifically Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, Drive.Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skillsSalary : $105,000-$115,000 base with bonus program benefits
