Our programs include direct (1:1) speech, behavioral, occupational and physical therapy along with our developmental enrichment program (academic enrichment).
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children from a variety of developmental backgrounds and will align with Indie's neurodiversity-affirming practices. The BCBA will work directly with children in-center, focusing on emotional regulation, behavior support, and daily living skills, with a preference for those experienced in naturalistic therapy. This role may utilize a push-in or pull-out model of support based on each child's needs.
Play-Based, Child-Led Instruction and Support
- Support emotional regulation and skill acquisition through engaging, individualized activities.
- Incorporate neurodiversity-affirming practices that honor each child’s unique needs and developmental pace.
- Use play-based, neurodiversity affirming strategies to support skill acquisition in children of all backgrounds and abilities (16 months - 10 years).
- Training or experience in PFA/SBT, PRT and/or NDBI preferred.
Assessment and Reporting
- Utilize a child-centered approach to assessment and instruction, writing and implementing strength-based goals that highlight each child’s abilities, focusing on their areas of growth in a positive, affirming way.
Professional Development and Neurodiversity Affirming Practices:
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and neurodiversity-affirming practices in the field of Behavior Analysis.
- Advocate for and implement inclusive practices that celebrate neurodiversity, disability and culture, recognizing and respecting the unique strengths and areas of growth for each child.
- Foster an environment that reflects an understanding of diverse learning styles and communication modalities.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with OTs, SLPs and all relevant team members (teachers...etc) to develop integrated strategies aligning with the overall developmental goals of each learner.
- Participate in regular team meetings, contributing expertise to the collaborative development of individualized learning plans.
- Work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team to establish and maintain a nurturing learning environment that promotes the development of skills and active engagement for every learner.
Collaboration with Parents/Caregivers:
- Provide education and guidance to families on supporting developmental skills at home.
- Work closely with parents/caregivers to gather valuable insights into each child's strengths and areas of support.
- Lead with connection, establishing meaningful relationships with the children and parents you serve to foster trust, collaboration, and communication.
- Provide education and support to parents/caregivers, empowering them to actively contribute to their child's development.
- Establish open lines of communication, ensuring a collaborative partnership between families and the developmental team
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
- Valid state licensure as an a Behavior Analyst
- Strong knowledge of Neurodiversity and AAC
- Experience working with disabled children
- Proficient in developing learner plans
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
