What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embedded Firmware Development Engineer position at indie Semiconductor?
indie is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to design and develop custom firmware packages to support indie's new product developments for Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) v2.0 and v2.1 emerging standards. Support critical customer requirements by providing turnkey SW packages or code solutions for integration and testing with customer FW baseline.
Provide expertise to ensure optimal HW/SW partitioning during architectural design phase. Support prototyping effort on FPGA and pre-silicon environment to enhance verification coverage and prepare system bring-up. Generate internal and customer facing documentation following QMS best practice. Participate and lead process related improvements including CI automation.
Additional minimum requirements:
- Developing embedded wireless charging firmware running on SOCs
- WPC 2.0 standard and requirement, power circuit designs and architecture
- GRL and Nok9 testers, ARM Cortex M series, IAR, GCC and ARM Kei
- RTOS developments
Minimum Qualifications
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related.
- Required Experience: At least 12 months as a Firmware Engineer or related occupation.
Work Hours: 40 hours per week. Telecommute permitted from anywhere in the US
Salary: $102,357 per year.
