We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Auditor to join our finance team. The Tax Auditor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, conducting audits, and providing recommendations to optimize tax strategies across our hospitality operations. The Tax Auditor will report to the Controller and work closely with the Assistant Controller for Hotels and the Assistant Controller for Restaurants.

MAIN DUTIES
- Tax Compliance: Review and analyze financial records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for internal and external tax audits by gathering necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Tax Reporting: Prepare monthly tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in submissions.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential areas of tax risk and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Research and Analysis: Stay updated on tax legislation and industry trends that may impact the hospitality sector.
- Collaboration: Work closely with accounting and finance teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to staff on tax-related matters and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in tax auditing or a similar role, preferably within Food & Beverage and lodging industry.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels, particularly in food and beverage and lodging tax.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills.
- Minimal travel, based on business needs.
