A technical delivery manager (TDM) is responsible for managing the delivery of a business's technology solutions. They may also manage the program or value stream that produces the solution. Some of their responsibilities include :
- Project management : Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and to an acceptable standard. This may involve managing project teams, coordinating resources, and allocating time and work priorities.
- Quality control : Overseeing quality control processes. Risk management : Identifying and managing risks that could affect delivery.
- Client relations : Establishing relationships with clients, acting as a customer advocate, and leading client escalations. They may also brief clients and management on operational decisions and scheduling requirements.
- Communication : Aligning project objectives with business goals and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Research : Researching potential tools and technology for new business pitches, and developing prototypes as proof of concept.
