Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of the workplace by supporting plant safety policies.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA) and safety standards.
- Supervise and provide regular feedback to hourly employees.
- Ensure all employees follow company policies and are compliant with labor contracts.
- Ensure the aisles are maintained, clean, and replenished according to the procedures.
- Oversee that orders are pulled, boxed, and packed properly to maintain good load performance.
- Assist in resolving worker grievances and ensure harmony within the team. Work closely with the HR team on the union grievances.
- Supervise the floor 90% of the time.
- Initiate necessary disciplinary actions when needed followed by the CBA.
- Report on safety observations monthly.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager for day-to-day operations and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience supervising union teams and meeting company performance expectations.
- Ability to train and lead a team, ensuring they comply with safety and operational standards.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to handle conflicts, resolve grievances, and make disciplinary decisions when necessary.
