The Transportation Supervisor will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the transportation operations within the organization. Assist in directing activities related to dispatching, routing, tracking transportation vehicles, and maintaining compliance.
Starting Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 Annually

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervision and assignment of specific responsibilities to all transportation personnel, which includes routing, deliveries, pick-ups, etc.
- Ensuring prompt and accurate delivery/pick –up of all service requests for customers, and other transportation activities as required by the needs of the company and the customer base.
- Assist in hiring, firing, training, supervising, evaluating and coaching an estimated of 109 union drivers.
- Ensuring that the drivers are licensed, trained, and tested as per the regulations.
- Facilitating and attending staff meetings on a regular basis.
- Collaborating with staff and managers.
- Assist in D.O.T mandated vehicle program to include medical cards and periodic certification, logbook requirements and compliance with all general requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the new AQMD regulations.
- Assist in the development and leadership of short and long-range planning activities covering all aspects of fleet maintenance.
- Maintain appropriate records, files and archives related to fleet operations and driver performance.
- Make periodic visits to vehicle bases to inspect, audit, and promote awareness and compliance with proper vehicle operation and maintenance procedure.
- Participate in the investigation of all vehicle accidents, follow-up on accident reports and repairs
- The successful candidate must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations (including all safety training and safety information).
- The candidate must have strong people skills and strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess a strong team approach to management. Must understand and support Individual Foodservice culture.
