Mutual Ace Hardware is searching for a Store Manager for our Palatine Location.
As Store Manager:
You’ll have the autonomy to run the store while upholding our Core Values.
You’ll be the point of contact for all day-to-day operations and ensure that we Amaze Every Customer Every Time!
Contributing to the growth, development and profitability of the store will be key in this role.
Other responsibilities will be:

• Coaching & Training
• Safety & Compliance

What you will need to succeed:
● High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
● Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a retail setting.
● Technically skilled in basic retail computer systems including related software
● Possess valid in-state driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
● Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
● Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
Education/Training
High School or GED equivalent required; degree preferred. Completion of NHRA Advanced Course in Hardware Retailing recommended.
Experience
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.
Must have previous retail management experience. Hardware experience preferred.
