POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Planner will provide support to all aspects of the manufacturing and facilities maintenance efforts at the Raleigh, NC plant. This position will provide support to all departments; will interact with vendors, contractors, and other personnel in a professional manner. The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve equipment reliability through efficient utilization of labor, parts, materials, and outside vendor services. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities performed on the site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prioritize safety and quality in daily work
- Oversee the management of the maintenance systems, the generation of routine and planned maintenance schedules, and support of maintenance techs performing maintenance activities
- Ensure that all facility utilities preventive maintenance is performed in accordance with cGMP guidelines maintaining departmental industry compliance in support of GMP
- Generate PM work orders and schedule task for maintenance personnel and contractors in CMMS
- Plan and schedule corrective work to maximize crew utilization and effectiveness
- Coordinate equipment shutdowns
- Attend Tier II meetings as required and provide follow-up and feedback as needed
- Tracking of reliability KPIs as required (MTTR, MTTF, OEE, Planned/Unplanned Maintenance etc.)
- Serve as primary point of contact and liaison between the maintenance department and the plant departments served by maintenance.
- Estimate labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment, and special tools required to complete proactive jobs in a safe and efficient manner
- Plan and schedule corrective, preventive and predictive follow up maintenance work in coordination with operations and maintenance technicians
- Ensures customer alignment regarding the prioritization and requested delivery dates for work orders
- Coordinate and schedule all externally contracted maintenance services
- Responsible for preparation and planning of maintenance department, service company, and contractor activities
- Manage CWO process including tracking and assessments as needed to ensure critical utilities and equipment remain in GMP compliance
- Assists with scheduling for special projects to include plant shutdowns
- Coordinate and document system release requirements in weekly basis Such as CWO, HVAC, WFI.
- Periodic review for critical validated equipment as needed and specified by validation department.
Physical Requirements of the Role:
Adequate vision required, must be able to successfully pass visual acuity requirements (20/20 corrected vision, distinguish colors as required). Position requires continuous standing and walking. Frequent bending over and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Any person shown at any time (either by medical examination or supervisory observation) to have an apparent illness or open lesions that may adversely affect the safety or quality of drug products shall be excluded from direct contact with components, drug product containers, closures, in-process materials, and drug products until the condition is corrected or determined by competent medical personnel not to jeopardize the safety or quality of drug products. All personnel shall be instructed to report to supervisory personnel any health conditions that may have an adverse effect on drug products.
Personnel engaged in the manufacture, processing, packing, or holding of a drug product shall wear clean clothing appropriate for the duties they perform. Protective apparel, such as head, face, hand, and arm coverings, shall be worn as necessary to protect drug products from contamination.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with CMMS (eMaint or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency with MS Office – Excel & Outlook
- Ability to work collaboratively, and perform in an autonomous work environment with a strong sense of self-accountability
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established process
- Excellent documentation practices
- Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree
- 2 years of cGMP experience in a pharmaceutical, consumer products or food manufacturing facility
- 2 years in a customer service role
- 3 years of experience working as a Maintenance Planner or Coordinator role.
- 1 years of experience in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or Lean Manufacturing
- familiar with building management system software. Demonstrated knowledge of predictive and condition monitoring maintenance concepts
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- 1 years’ experience in spare parts Inventory management
