What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/R Payment Coordinator position at Indoff?
Nationwide distributor is seeking an accounts receivable payment coordinator for our home office in St. Louis. Basic duty is to contact customers through timely phone calls regarding payment delays. Collection experience preferred and must be well organized. The position also requires significant skill level in problem solving and basic computer skills. This is B2B collections, and ideal candidate is organized, prompt, professional and looking for a job to call home.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate collections by using AR JDE Production collector work list to track, call and follow up on customer accounts.
- Use aging reports and computer software application to identify and remedy accounting abnormalities such as short payments, tax balances, unapplied cash on account and any other such situations.
- Field calls from customers and sales force and assist them with specific problems as they relate to collection of revenues due the Company.
- Provide to the customer any documents that are required to receive payment.
- Communicate with customers, sales force, vendors and management regarding job or collection problems.
- Obtain the appropriate tax exemption certificates.
