Description
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls and Building Automation Service Technician to join our team. This role will focus primarily on building automation systems and HVAC controls. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation of knowledge in all aspects of the mechanical service trade. The role also requires that the technician responds to requests for mechanical service repairs and mechanical maintenance work as determined by the company's needs. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and experience with various control systems. Basic computer skills related to building automation are imperative to the role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including mechanical components and control systems
- Respond to service calls for mechanical repairs and issues related to building automation systems
- Install, configure, and maintain HVAC control systems and building automation technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems to enhance system efficiency
- Utilize basic computer skills to monitor HVAC controls, analyze data, and generate reports
- Collaborate with team members to implement system upgrades and improvements
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and system maintenance activities

For individuals assigned and / or hired to work in California, IES is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $48 / hr. to $65 / hr. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
