What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Construction Laborer position at Indoor Wireless, Inc.?
Qualifications:
General Construction / Labor
Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems
Concrete and Foundation Experience
Street Lighting (New Installs and Maintenance)
Utility Spotting / Locating – must be able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
Excavating, Directional Boring and Vacuum truck experience
Be responsible for and operate all necessary tools related in the utility industry
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
Ability to listen to and implement directions
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and with / around electrical wires
- Ability to work remotely at construction or installation sites
- Digging, trenching, and backfilling ditches
Requirements:
Demonstrates the ability to use basic hand and power tools and concrete saws for work projects
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record
- CDL License preferred or the desire to obtain a CDL License in the future
- Computer and cell phone proficiency
- Pass a DOT drug test and CDL examination
