Description:
- Perform technical tasks related to product functional assessment, including concept feasibility, design verification, sustaining engineering, and new product development of medical devices.
- Execution of test protocols via various mechanical laboratory equipment and manual manipulation.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and data analysis of experiments.
- Report results to project leadership and prepare technical reports, when necessary.
- Provide technical support on general laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement of lab processes.
- Assist in on-boarding and training of other associates.
- Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices.
- Ensure compliance to applicable BD policies and procedures, as well as applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in engineering is desirable (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 0-2 years of engineering or technical experience is required, preferably in medical devices.
- Working knowledge of the operation of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g. Instron) desirable.
