Job Title: Welder/ Fabricator
Location: 9701 Old Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC USA 28269-7630
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Position comments:
2nd shift
- Expected Working hours: 4:30 pm-3 am; Typical shift: 4:30 pm-1 am.
- OT IS REQUIRED. 2 hours of OT daily and 1-2 Saturdays for 8 hours.
- Working days: Mon- Saturday.
1st shift (TRAINING)- Expected Working hours: 06:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Typical shift: 06:00 AM - 2:30 PM. OT is required: 2 hours of OT daily and 1-2 Saturdays for 8 hours.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Performs layout and fit-up work using fixtures or positioners.
• Welds various metals using Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG, or Submerged arc processes.
• Uses MIG welder to assemble fabricated metal products in an efficient manner to maximize production.
• Operates the equipment safely and reports hazards associated with the equipment to the supervisor.
• Produces strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
• Follows required procedures and uses appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
• Completes a variety of brazing functions encompassing all materials.
• Performs hand grinding and forming work as needed.
• Cleans and maintains an orderly work area.
• Communicates effectively with others.
• Assists other individuals in the area when needed.
• Safety markings are not present on the floor in areas with hoists; however, thorough tours and training are provided.
• Able to work weekends and overtime.
• The site is OSHA compliant.
• Workers must be capable of lifting a maximum of 35-50 lbs.
