What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMS Web Developer 2 position at Indotronix International Corporation?
We are seeking a skilled Craft CMS Web Developer to complete a project to update one of the client website utilizing Craft CMS. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining websites using Craft CMS, along with strong proficiency in front-end and back-end web development. You will work closely with the internal Information Technology team to update Craft CMS, PHP, MySQL and any other components. As well as to review the current website to ensure it is a scalable, high-performance environment. Client is wanting to bring in a contractor to perform all upgrade activities for the website. Client has estimated that the assignment can be completed in 120 hours. The position will be remote, but it is highly preferred that the contractor be located in the central Texas area. A secondary goal of the contractor and this assignment will be to assess the current website and Craft CMS environment and to develop a comprehensive plan for migrating the website and all functionality from Craft CMS to Drupal CMS.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, update, and optimize websites using Craft CMS
- Customize and extend Craft CMS functionality using Twig, PHP, and Craft Plugins
- Ability to work with websites hosted in an AWS virtual environment.
- Adding, creating, and performing client content changes in Craft, in collaboration with the client website administrator.
- Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement and manage GraphQL, APIs, and headless Craft CMS setups when necessary
- Collaborate with programmatic staff to gather requirements and translate into user friendly functional web pages
- Optimize website performance, security, and scalability
- Manage and maintain hosting environments and deployments (e.g., DigitalOcean, AWS, Vercel)
- Stay updated with the latest Craft CMS features, web technologies, and best practices
- Participating in project team meetings to report on the migration process, contribute responsive information during discussions, and assist in any technical decisions.
- Reviewing web content, links, and limited design aspects, providing necessary updates for broken links and updated content and enhancements as necessary.
- Performing all tasks while adhering to mobile and accessibility compliance standards.
- Liaising between the website developers and project management staff for the required updates.
- Offering website recommendations or improvements to the internal team.

Years Required / Preferred Experience
5 Required Proven experience with Craft CMS (Craft 3 / 4 preferred)
5 Required Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and Twig templating
5 Required Proven experience updating Craft CMS to the latest version with all relevant patches
5 Required Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Vue.js or Alpine.js is a plus)
5 Required Experience working with Craft CMS Plugins (installing, configuring, updating, and developing custom plugins)
5 Required Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization
5 Required Understanding of Git version control and deployment workflows
5 Required Ability to customize the current website utilizing API's or other technology to synchronize website metrics with Google Analytics and Site Improve
5 Required Experience working with APIs and headless CMS implementations
5 Required Stay updated with the latest Craft CMS features, web technologies, and best practices
5 Required Capability to assess the existing Homeownership website and develop a comprehensive plan for migrating from Craft CMS to Drupal. The client team requests a project estimate outlining the scope of work involved and a projected timeline for completion
3 Preferred Experience with Drupal, WordPress, or other CMS platforms
3 Preferred Experience working with websites hosted on AWS and Acquia platforms
3 Preferred Knowledge of server management and DevOps workflows
