Pay Range : $45-$50 / Hr on W2
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for Tier I monitoring and initial triage in a Satellite network operations center environment that typically links to numerous computer platforms, operating systems, and network topologies.
Additionally, the engineer is responsible for customer support of complex and diverse systems in a 7 X 24 environment.
Work will be required on all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
The engineer must have 3 -7 years of previous Satellite experience and / or experience working with Internet Protocols; possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Previous Military Satellite Experience, Network Operations experience, and Cisco / Juniper Certification is highly desirable.
Satellite experience is required (highly preferred) Will be looking for satellite skills first along with IP skills, or (strong internet or NOC experience).
IP protocols for IP troubleshooting.
good comm skills
previous military experience has been a proven plus in the past - as military uses satellites
cisco juniper routers and commands
Not looking for dish network tv or direct tv experience - not the kind of satellites we are doing. not the skills we are looking.
Able to support govt / Federal customers, may need to get public trust.
Requirements :
3 years of Satellite and IP Networking experience
Preferably military satellite experience
Experience with iDirect, ViaSat, or other satellite vendor systems or VSAT Certification
Experience with Cisco / Juniper routers and switches
Experience with Multicast over MPLS Networks
Must be flexible to work in a 7 X 24 environment across all shifts including weekends and holidays.
