It’s not by coincidence that more than 75 percent of our business is from repeat customers.From coast-to-coast notable projects include the Aria, Cosmopolitan, Paris and Encore resorts in Las Vegas, Hudson Yards and Resorts World Casino in New York, Gaylord National in Maryland, Courthouses and Detention Facilities in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Florida, and Stadiums including Chase Field in Arizona, Lincoln Field in Pennsylvania, and SAP Center and Oakland Arena in California.At Tutor Perini Building Corp you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile projects that impact your community.Extraordinary projects need exceptional talentWe are seeking a Senior Estimator that will report to the Vice President of Preconstruction.ResponsibilitiesQuantify, analyze, and disseminate, to project estimating team, the detailed project program ( work breakdown structure, room counts, functions, areas, etc.) during a project kick-off meetingReview, interpret, quantify, and accurately estimate cost, and the project documentsIdentify and mitigate project related riskSolicit, collect and critically analyze Subcontractor / Vendor budgets, bids or quotations associated with assigned projects or packagesReview and verify Scope of Work and pricing (Subcontractor Analysis Sheets) of other project team members when acting as project lead estimatorPresents the project scope of work, estimated costs, risks and opportunities to management during the final review of assigned estimatesParticipate in the presentation of proposals, budgets, etc. to clients and prospective clientsCoordinate the delivery of appropriate project files for assigned projects to Operations Staff during a project turnover meeting using the Turnover Meeting Agenda and ChecklistParticipate and coordinate participation of project estimating team in the buyout process with operationsComplete all required paperwork for bids or proposals (such as bid forms, bonding requirements, etc.)Provides support to Project Operations Team for Change Order estimating, extended buyout after Contract or turnover to Operations Team and other estimating support as requiredAssists in development training, coaching, and orientation of EstimatorsVisit Tutor Perini Building Corp. project sites as frequently as practical to observe construction operations at various phases and becomes familiar with jobsite logistics, means and methods, and Operations personnelCreate the first pass General Conditions estimate when acting as Lead EstimatorBe involved in preconstruction Training Programs, becoming proficient in all aspects of preconstructionRequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or similar from an ABET accredited institution5 or more years of relevant estimating, project management and / or construction experience5 or more years’ experience estimating for projects in buildings sectorPrevious estimating experience on projects over $50M in valueGood communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owner’s representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiationsCapable of effectively working within a cohesive estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicablePrevious experience in alternative delivery methods such as design / build is preferredKnowledge of lodging and gaming vocabulary and facility program componentsExperienced in estimating software tools On-Center, Insite and Timberline or similarTutor Perini Building Corp. builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
