Job Description
As a Test Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for working from mechanical schematics and engineered drawings. You will perform functional checkout and operational/component testing of mechanical systems, and ground support equipment installations including the operation, and maintenance of associated support equipment. Additionally, you will analyze test documents to identify test facility problems and develop corrective action. Furthermore, you will recommend and make refinement to equipment, sub-assemblies, test and integration processes. You will work from engineering drawings, schematics, work orders, technical documents, and formal direction. Your duties may also include performing tasks around hazardous conditions while maintaining a safe working environment. To succeed in this role, you must possess technical skills and abilities to work in a team environment with minimal supervision instruction or direction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. A Mechanics Trade school education is also preferred. Prior military mechanic experience is highly valued, as well as prior experience associated with aircraft hydraulics and mechanics. You must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues.
