Job Description:
The Layup Assembler will be responsible for reading tickets and verifying proper door skins, ensuring material quality, and assisting in door layup processes. The role requires hand-eye coordination, defect identification, and material alignment in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Read and interpret tickets/schedules to verify materials.
Identify defects on door skins before assembly.
Flip and align door skins weighing up to 10 lbs.
Push skins and stagger them within reach of Layup Assemblers.
Communicate stack quantities to the pressman.
Use a foot pedal to raise/lower lift tables for ergonomic positioning.
Secure correct tickets to the proper door stacks/sub stacks.
Assist with moving cullboards onto/off lift tables.
Remove reject skins from the line onto the reject pile.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to read and interpret tickets.
Knowledge of different door skins and defect types.
Ability to use a tape measure down to 1/16" accuracy.
Strong hand-eye coordination.
Capable of standing for long continuous hours.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
