Job Description :
The IT Senior Project Manager / Program Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing IT projects and programs that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue growth within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector. This role bridges business needs with technology solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, adherence to timelines, and delivery within budget. The ideal candidate has deep experience managing complex IT initiatives in the QSR industry, including POS systems, mobile applications, digital ordering platforms, and enterprise integrations.
Key Responsibilities :
Project / Program Management
- Lead end-to-end project management for IT initiatives, such as POS system upgrades, loyalty programs, mobile apps, and delivery integrations.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously, ensuring effective prioritization and execution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Franchisees, to gather requirements and ensure seamless delivery of IT solutions.Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.Facilitate stakeholder communication, reporting progress, risks, and mitigation plans.Technical Oversight
Ensure successful implementation and integration of systems such as point-of-sale (POS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.Oversee technology deployment across franchise locations, ensuring consistency and scalability.Work closely with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.Risk and Quality Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.Monitor project quality and performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.Ensure compliance with industry standards, data security regulations, and company policies.Leadership and Team Development
Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members.Build and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Develop and deliver training sessions to ensure successful adoption of IT solutions.Education :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Experience :
7 years of IT project or program management experience, preferably in the QSR, retail, or hospitality sectors.Proven experience implementing POS systems, digital ordering platforms, and / or mobile apps.Strong background in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and data integrations.Skills :
Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities.Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Asana), Smartsheets,Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with franchise operations and challenges in the QSR industry.Certifications (Preferred) :
