What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carbon and Stainless-Steel Welders (Fluxcore) position at Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc.?
I.A.F.D. Inc., is looking for Carbon and Stainless-Steel Welders (Fluxcore)
This is OUTAGE work for the Spring season (March - June) and requires consistent travel throughout the US
- Competitive Pay ($27.5 - $30.5)to include Per Diem
- Paid Airfare (to and from the project)
- Paid Hotel (shared with one crew member)
- Rental Car (depending on background check and driver's license status)
Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: weld test taken.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years.
- Must have experience as a Welder in Industrial Construction.
- Must be available to travel continuously throughout the US to jobs (IAFD pays for travel).
- Must be willing to support other craft if need be
- Sound understanding of industrial construction safety.
- Pass a Performance weld test
Responsibilities:
- Weld along vertical, horizontal, or overhead weld lines.
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Must be able to set up and/or troubleshoot welding machines as needed.
- Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100 feet, and in confined spaces.
- Follow all safety requirements
- Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.
