What are the responsibilities and job description for the DOT Box Truck Driver–Traveling US Power Plants position at Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc.?
Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc.
Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc ("IAFD") is the leading provider of replacement expansion joint systems, penetration seal systems, and HRSG duct/liner replacement systems sold to power plants. We provide our power plant and utility customers with a turn-key solution for their repair and maintenance needs driven by our engineering-first approach. We have become the leader in our industry through a focus on being a solutions provider and having outstanding customer care. We are currently seeking a box truck driver to join our team.
IAFD is hiring a part-time box truck driver to help with fleet movement across the United States. This position does NOT require a commercial driver's license but a CDL is a plus. The box truck driver position is a critical position as the truck must be onsite prior to the mobilization of the field service installation team. This role will require air travel, overnight hotel stays, and, at times, standby readiness to drive. Prior experience with DOT logbooks and weigh stations is a plus. All travel (airfare, hotel, rental car, UBER/LYFT) is paid for by the company.
This position will require picking up the box truck at IAFD's corporate office and driving it to a pre-determined location within the United States. At other times, the employee would fly from their home airport to another city and pick up the truck to drive it to the pre-determined location. The employee may then be flown to another location to pick and move a different truck in a similar process. After all vehicle movements have been completed the employee would be flown home (all travel expenses are paid for by the company).
