Skilled Laborers

With over 20 years of experience, Industrial Air Flow Dynamics is The Premier Field Service Group to the Power Generation Industry in the US. We are currently seeking Skilled Laborers who are eager and ready to work!

This is OUTAGE work and requires consistent travel throughout the US during February - June and October - December.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, loading, and unloading frequently, and following directions from your supervisor. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, a team player, and a hard worker.

Qualifications:

• Being bilingual is a plus!
• Must have experience as a general laborer in the construction industry.
• Must be available to travel continuously throughout the US to jobs (IAFD pays for travel).
• Knowledge of hand tools is required.
• Must be willing to work with and around insulation including installation as needed.
• Experience supporting welders in the power industry is a plus.
• TWIC Card preferred.
• Basic Plus or OSHA 10 is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities:

• Operate various power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, grinders, impact guns, hydraulic jacks, and work with insulation.
• Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100 feet, and in confined spaces.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, diagrams, and sketches.
• The ability to accurately read a measuring tape, follow written/verbal instructions, and communicate with coworkers positively.
• Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.

Working Conditions:

Inside Power Plants/Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking constantly. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 100 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
