The Digital Marketing Analyst plays a critical role in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the effectiveness of digital marketing, social media campaigns, PPC campaigns and online branding efforts. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making. By analyzing audience engagement, conversion rates, and content effectiveness, the Digital Marketing Analyst enables the team to refine strategies and improve ROI on marketing efforts. The Digital Marketing Analyst will develop strategies for growth, assess new campaign / client targets and build out demand generation programs with the goal of generating campaign success, increasing online presence, and driving ROI. The Digital Marketing Analyst will develop key relationships with clients, leadership, and key stakeholders and possess the communication skills and confidence to deliver technical information to non-technical audiences.
The Digital Marketing Analyst reports to the Director, Brand Management, Marketing, & Outreach.
The Digital Marketing Analyst salary is based on experience level and ranges between $67,437 and $80,924.
What You'll Do
- Track and analyze digital marketing performance metrics across channels (email, social, web, etc.).
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, and CRM systems to gather insights.
- Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards to communicate campaign performance and key metrics.
- Conduct A / B testing and conversion funnel analysis to drive campaign improvements.
- Identify trends and provide actionable insights for campaign optimization.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to improve campaign strategies.
- Make recommendations to shift campaign structure and keyword opportunities to improve performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality, troubleshooting any discrepancies or data integrity issues.
- Support the team in making data-driven decisions by providing in-depth analysis on campaign success and audience behavior.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.

What We Can Offer You
This position is based out of ICMA’s headquarters, located in Washington, D.C. At this time, all ICMA staff are working remotely. The selected individual must be able to work the core business hours from 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm EST. Our office will remain operational and accessible for staff to use on a voluntary basis.
A high-speed Internet connection is required. Personnel will provide the Internet service at their own expense. The internet connection must be of sufficient bandwidth to allow the team member to efficiently perform their regular job functions.
The selected candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
