IA is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented leader to serve as Production Control Manager. This is a key leader responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and control of production processes to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and quality. This role will directly impact production timelines, material availability, and resource management, driving the company’s ability to meet customer demands.

Position Overview

The Production Control Manager will coordinate with the Management Team to estimate, plan, and schedule production and reports to the management team on a routine basis and as needed with critical status updates. The role is crucial for the company's digital transformation, enhancing efficiency in production, material management, and resource use. The Production Control Manager has five primary areas of responsibility:

1. Planning
2. Production Scheduling
3. Resource Utilization
4. Procurement
5. Inventory Control

Essential Job Functions

Planning: Manage the drafting and origination of bills of material (BOM) and routing (routers) for each individual Work Order. Utilize digital tools and software to streamline the planning process and improve accuracy.  Once the BOM and router are complete, release the work package to Production for manufacturing.

Production Scheduling: Arrange and oversee the sequencing of Work Orders within the Production pipeline. Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to guarantee that the Work Order sequence is efficient, and that the production schedule remains accurate, comprehensive, and well-organized. Implement digital scheduling tools to optimize production timelines.

Resource Utilization: Optimize the use of team members to ensure the company meets manufacturing deadlines. Incorporate individual preferences and requirements to develop team members. Utilize digital platforms to track and manage team member performance and development.

Procurement: Manage the process of purchasing requisitions as received from Manufacturing and overhead requirements. Ensure sourcing from reliable and quality suppliers and vendors. Leverage digital procurement systems to enhance supplier management and streamline the procurement process.

Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory, including raw materials and finished goods. Responsible for cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and security. Enable adoption of digital inventory management systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities: Apart from the five main areas of responsibility, additional duties include:
  • Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support complex production and product shipments.
  • Supports the entire company, including Digital Transformation by implementing digital tools to improve production, materials management, and resource use. Works with IT and other departments for effective integration and adoption of these solutions.
  • Monitors and analyzes work in process.
  • Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems.
  • Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to insure parts availability.
  • Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy.
  • Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays.
  • Work under limited supervision and provide guidance to less experienced employees.
  • Experience using MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel at a minimum)
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, regulations and guidelines for the shipping of hazardous and nonhazardous goods.
  • Ability to work with standard chemicals used in the processing of aerospace parts.
  • Ability to interpret basic schematics and diagrams for part issuance and compliance.
  • Ability to operate equipment to include, but not limited to: roll up doors, pallet jacks, hand trucks, truck lift gates, etc.

Requirements
  • Ability to interpret drawings and read/comprehend work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Experience using hand tools and hand-held power tools.
  • Ability to comply with workplace requirements including wearing steel toe shoes.
  • Capable of lifting 40 lbs.
  • Three years of Production Coordinator experience.
  • High School graduation or GED required.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Experience using computers and learning new computer systems.
  • Respect and commitment to the job and for co-workers.
  • Problem solving abilities.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.
