Design Manager

Ricardo Beverly Hills is searching for a dynamic, creative designer for the Design Manager position. This position will play a pivotal role in designing and developing world-class products that fit the consumer lifestyle for each of our brands. We want someone who will come in with a solid reputation for building great products in a consumer-driven organization. The position calls for a leader who is both an empowering manager and a hands-on player / coach for the design team.

The Challenge

The Design Manager will have the opportunity to design products for this vision. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and / or master’s degree in industrial and / or fashion design
• 5-10 years established experience with a demonstrated background in Product Design and Development
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of creatives
• Experience working directly with Asian factories
• Soft and hard goods design experience
• Creative design leadership experience is essential
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, OneNote, Word), Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Knowledge of 3D modeling, surfacing, and rapid prototyping is preferable
• Advanced English language skills
• Keen sense of market and societal trends and their impact on design direction within the industry
• Ability to communicate ideas quickly and effectively through visualization and mockups
