We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipper to join our Indianapolis Forward Stocking Hub team. located in Greenfield Indiana. In this role, the ideal candidate will report to the Shipping Manger, they will contribute and support all aspects of the receiving, storage and shipping process’s, from coordinating with carriers to maintaining inventory levels and ensuring precise on-time delivery of goods.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose Of Position
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipper to join our Indianapolis Forward Stocking Hub team. located in Greenfield Indiana. In this role, the ideal candidate will report to the Shipping Manger, they will contribute and support all aspects of the receiving, storage and shipping process’s, from coordinating with carriers to maintaining inventory levels and ensuring precise on-time delivery of goods.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complying with all company quality, safety policies and procedures
- Picking, packing, shipping, receiving, recording & controlling the movement of completed parts, supplies and materials to and from the Forward Stocking Hub
- Safe operation of electric pallet jacks, Class 4 & 5 forklifts, and associated tasks related to the unloading, movement and loading of high value, heavy product.
- Creation and record keeping of export paperwork (Bill of Lading, USMCA form, Commercial Invoice)
- Tasks as directed by the Shipping Manger up to and including general maintenance and upkeep as per SOP’s.
- Mandatory experience with forklifts of a valid Class 4 & 5 forklift certificate; possession of a Forklift certificate would be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in a receiving and shipping environment, specifically in the storage and control of inventory-controlled products.
- Physically fit and able to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, bend, squat, reach and grasp.
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize, detail oriented.
- Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with ERP and MS Office Suites.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external parties.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Consistently exhibits punctuality and professionalism.
