PREREQUISITES
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years’ experience diagnosing/repairing gas, diesel & liquid propane fueled small engines.
- Valid California driver’s license with driving record that meets company criteria.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
JOB DUTIES
- Diagnose and repair gasoline, diesel, natural gas and liquid propane fueled small engines on generators and welders.
- Repair, service and perform resistive load bank testing on all makes and models of portable generators, RV generators, towable generators and engine-driven welders.
- Ability to accurately read/interpret manufacturer wiring schematics, parts breakdowns and manuals as required.
- Ability and experience to accurately utilize and read a variety of tools including multi-meter, amp clamp/meter, oscilloscope, megohmmeter, resistive load bank etc.
- Complete required paperwork, reports and notes for each job accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.
- Unload and load units with hoist or forklift.
- Pressure wash customer equipment as needed/required.
- Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.
EQUIPMENT USE
- Forklift, hoist, multi-meter, amp clamp/meter, megohmmeter, oscilloscope, resistive load bank, pressure washer, hand tools, computer, printer/scanner/copier, telephone and fax.
WORK HOURS AND ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Monday – Friday; 8 am – 5 pm; overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
