As IES expands our team, we have a full-time opportunity in Longview, Texas, for a knowledgeable inside sales/customer service representative with the familiarity with basic electronics and electrical systems to assist customers seeking solutions for their Industrial Automation and Controls needs and more. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Basic electronics a must
- Knowledge of electrical systems and products through education and/or experience strongly preferred
- Industry experience and familiarity with product categories and lines represented ideal
- Strong technical aptitude recommended
- Positive, professional demeanor with exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills essential
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong work ethic and capacity to thrive in a team environment
- Experience in customer service and inside sales
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and external partners
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Valid driver's license
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & OPPORTUNITIES
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests
- Provide information about products and services
- Enter sales quotes
- Accurately and quickly process and track orders
- Work with sales team to assist customers with product selection, brand, and pricing options, as well as technical information
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
- Facilitate inventory control
- Assist with day-to-day branch operations as necessary
- Continually develop product knowledge, and attend/participate in manufacturer product training
